The most special and different thing about the Paleo diet is that you are allowed to eat anything that a cave eat. You can eat anything that wasn’t in reachable distance back then. This might be the main reason why people might like it or not like it. Some of the benefits of a Paleo Diet are that  the Paleo diet does not courage unfresh food and artificial sugar. All you can eat is fresh whole foods. You are able to access a clean diet (without additive, preservatives or chemicals). Anti-inflammatory benefits are shown from the nutrients from fruits, vegetables, oils nuts and seeds. You will feel more full between meals due to the higher intake of protein and fat. It will bring to losing weight because to the limited food choice. The Paleo diet is full of potassium- It is important for providing a healthy blood pressure, kidney, and muscle. Not only that, the fat you eat is healthy- absorbing less amount of fat will rise a healthier lipid profile. Your body will be intaking more protein, which is necessary for growth and development of skin, muscles, bone, and cartilage. You will be eating less processed food- only having access to whole food, which means less salt and sugar. This does not mean that everything is good about the Paleo diet. The imperfection of the Paleo diet is that evidence shown that not having dairy, legumes and grains aren’t strong enough. Some of the disadvantages of the Paleo diet is that the food portions allows the Paleo diet to go beyond the daily allowance of some foods. Some of the essential nutrients and vitamins are not included in the Paleo diet. Many people get their calcium from milk, cheese and yoghurt which isn’t accessible on a Paleo diet. Without any grains may mean a decrease of fibre. No legumes, which is highly beneficial to gut health. Humans will have to evolve in order to adjust our environment. It is not possible to eat the exact same things as our ancestors because animals and plants have evolved. Some disadvantages of the paleo diet is that it can be very expensive. It does not have enough grains and dairy which cause better health and energy. It is fairly difficult for people who are vegetarians. Normal athletes need 3 to 6 grams of carbohydrate per pound of their body weight. The Paleo diet will make it hard to access due to being able to only get it from fruits and vegetables. The Paleo diet will bring some side effects. Here are some.Ketogenic BreathWhen your body is still trying to get used to burning fat, instead of carbohydrates for energy, you will go through a process called ketosis. This is normal and not a sign of concern. When this happens, try to avoid potatoes,  rice and grains.HypothyroidismSome people might have long-term low carbohydrate diet symptoms. Low carbohydrate dieting will put an end to your appetite. If you lose too much weight, the body will go on a function to save energy. This is avoidable by eating large amounts of Paleo permitted vegetables.CravingsMany people will experience craving for sugar like fries for the first few weeks, according to Sarah Fragoso, author of “Everyday Paleo”. The craving can bring to people no long desperately wanting sweets, she explains. Excess ProteinThe Paleo diet has many animal proteins like meat, shellfish, poultry, eggs and fish. Excess animal protein will elevate blood levels which increase risk of heart disease. Because of the high-protein intake, your kidney has to work harder to remove the excess waste products.Low Blood SugarIt is very important to be cautious before going on the Paleo diet, especially if you even had taken drugs. This is what will cause hypoglycemia.Low-carb fluMost of the food accessible of the Paleo diet is low in carbohydrates, there are often changes in the pancreas. Symptoms can include headaches, fatigue, weakness, which can result from reducing, even more, carbohydrate intake. Lowering your carbohydrate intake can slowly help you ease the transition.More energyEating food that is low on the Glycemic Index means you will avoid the drop in energy that usually occurs have high on sugary foods. Many people agrees that the Paleo diet gives human many benefits. But does this statement occur to everything? Medical professionals prove that human bodies don’t have the ability to process the diets available today, and the people who on a Paleo diet can maintain insulin levels, lose weight and will get more energy. As people who eat these food, we don’t realize how fast these resources are leaving us. The is why the Paleo diet may be good for our body, but not to the environment. At this present time, 70% of agricultural land is used for animal production. The cows’ food and crops takes up 30% of the land, which means there is less space to grow sources of crops of protein to provide to humanity. The unsustainable growth of animal food has let about 30% of biodiversity loss. While many people dislike tofu, it is very high and protein. Regardless, far animals have increased their income of tofu too. We are also diminishing the water supplies. Every gram of soybean needs about 0.75 litres of water to grow, but about 20 litres of water is required for the same weight in farm animals. There are many others too. It has been believed that Methane is even harmful to the environment as it traps heat. It could be argued that humans should focus on our own nutrition when planning a diet. But there are still some important to worth attention facts to think about. Many people believe that transportation is what has the greatest impact on the environment. However, we eat 3 times a day, and it seems like we should consider how much of an impact our food choices have on the environment and the world around us.Eating healthier is always good. The Paleo diet is not a bad choice for a diet to follow- eating fresh foods. Unfortunately, the arguments behind the Paleo diet are true. You will not be losing weight because you are eating like how people ate 2.5 million years ago. Besides, we are far away from knowing what cavemen actually ate.
