This
research is focusing in one Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks
on cloud computing environment. The research also define the use of Software
Defined Network (SDN) in protecting Cloud computing networks and describe some
DDoS attacks and detection solutions and techniques on SDN-based Cloud
computing environments and summarizes it’s performance applicability &
validity.

Problem

Detecting
and preventing DDoS attacks are one of the main issues in cloud computing
environments. Adding SDN to cloud computing environment can enhance managing network
traffic in cloud computing. The problem is whether using SDN-based cloud
computing and available detecting mechanisms which detecting mechanism has good
capability and performance can face DDoS attacks.
