lives easier.  However, sometimes they
can actually affect the world in many negative ways.  Genetic modification is one of these
innovations surrounded by multiple opinions that are both negative and positive.  Genetically modified organisms (GMO’s) are
organisms with genes that are changed using technology to change their
characteristics and they are usually used on crops such as: rice, tomatoes,

There are problems that are solved using genetic modification, and
various implications of using genetically modified crops specifically corn on
the environment.

     Before scientists
created genetic modification or have been introduced to only some parts of the
world, farmers struggled because they used pesticides to keep the insects away
from the crops.  They are a major source
of pollution.  According to several
studies, the remainders of the pesticides appear to be in the air, water, and
the soil.  This will affect the health of
humans because the remainder may build up in the air, which will decrease the

reactions, toxic to many harmless animals, and could be carcinogenic.  Corn has many advantages too, for instance,
it is nutritional, tastier, and lasts longer in which people will not waste it.
