For an electric it takes up to 12 hours to get to a full charge. For an electric car it takes $3.48 to go 100 miles, but after a 12 hour charge the average electricity bill increases, on average, 20 percent. For a gas vehicle it takes $11.95 to go 100 miles, but the electric bill stays the same.Everything in this world has a disadvantage, but the one thing we truly rely on to get us to work, school, and home needs to be looked at. An electric vehicle will take up to 8 hours to fully recharge.A gas vehicle as well, has disadvantages. The average gas price we see today runs above $2.00 per gallon. Jakuba says: “As we travel, stopping to fill up can take up too much time when you need to last as long as possible.” The average vehicle over the year 2012 will go over 400 miles in one tank of gas.When it comes to speed and performance what vehicle can we truly rely on to last the longest? An electric vehicle will go up to 100 miles per hour in under 10 seconds. Why is this important? Jeffery a writer for NerdWallet, says: “Well, there’s always that one guy in a 6.0L powerstroke that thinks he is the best, so having a fast vehicle will shut his mouth and keep him from rolling coal on you like 90 percent of 6.0L drivers.” Sounds very unimportant, but true. Customer feedback is very important, even if it sounds very uncalled for. To succeed in business people need to do what the customer wants the most, and that may be speed, or even safety. An electric vehicle is safe in very many situations. For example, an electric car does not use explosion to move a vehicle like a gas vehicle, which makes the chances of a fire or an explosion in an accident very unlikely. As for a gas vehicle, the vehicles have a higher chance because they run from explosion in the engine.Electric vehicles have their advantages as well. Gas vehicles can be very quiet, which is great when going on long trip. Another great advantage, is even when you are not traveling the driver can charge their vehicle at home. Electric vehicles also have a cheap maintenance cost.A gas driven vehicles has many advantages that drivers do not realise. A gas vehicle has less pollution than an electric vehicle. When a driver needs to fuel up, gas is always an option at a quick stop so the driver does not have the worries of finding fuel. When owning a gas vehicle maintenance costs are 10 percent less expensive than an electric vehicle. The cost for a gas vehicle is 25 percent cheaper than most electric vehicles (Berman).All driver need a reliable vehicle when it is needed, but is it truly better to have one over the other? The world has advanced in the automotive industry in many ways drivers can not imagine. All vehicles have their advantages and disadvantages, especially electric and gas vehicles. However, if a driver operates a gas vehicle, the driver will have a lot more advantages in daily life and get what the driver truly needs–money and reliability.
